Adult Summer Camp Session One: Letter Writing In-Person

Rediscover the joy and wonder of childhood by joining us for Adult Summer Camp! Embrace your inner child as you participate in fun activities and workshops designed to bring out your playful side. Each participant will receive a commemorative lanyard and will earn a badge for every activity completed. Don't miss this opportunity to relive the carefree days of summer and make new memories with like-minded individuals in a welcoming and inclusive environment.

Adult Summer Camp is split into two sessions. Register for session one, session two, or both!

Free and open to adults.


Register below for Session 1 (July 7 – 17). By registering, you are committing to all 4 days of camp. You cannot register for individual activities only. Dates and activities are below: 

  • Monday, July 7 at 2 pm: Decoupage Plant Pots - Use a variety of napkins, magazines, and book pages to decoupage a one-of-a-kind plant pot! All supplies will be provided. Earn the DIY badge. Location: Residential Properties Meeting Room 

  • Thursday, July 10 at 2 pm: Sew a Bucket Hat – With the help of Janet, our sewing instructor, use upcycled fabric to sew your own bucket hat. Earn the sewing badge. Location: Residential Properties Meeting Room

  • Monday, July 14 at 2 pm: Letter Writing – Join Courtney Oman for a class in the art of letter writing. Rediscover this dying art and write a letter to a loved one or your future self. Earn the writing badge. Location: Residential Properties Meeting Room 

  • Thursday, July 17 at 2 pm: Indoor Games: Bocce, Cornhole, and Darts – Indulge in some friendly competition and learn a fun new indoor game. We will rotate between indoor bocce, cornhole, and magnetic darts. Earn the sports badge. Location: Collis Family Gallery 

Complete all four Session 1 activities and earn a Barrington Public Library Adult Summer Camp mug!
